Mayor Andy Burnham helps to celebrate Manchester Tech Incubator Launch

On Thursday night Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham helped to officially launch Manchester Science Partnerships (MSP) new £2m tech incubator which will help create up to 2,000 jobs in data science and technology innovation companies over the next decade.

The incubator will provide start-ups with a wide package of business support services, including access to finance, talent and markets advice, provided by delivery partners including the leading sector trade body Manchester Digital, talent support services company Complete Resourcing, and Sharp Futures, the social enterprise supporting diverse young people into employment in the digital sector. New Leeds Tech Incubator launched at Platform

A new tech incubator has opened at Bruntwood’s flagship Platform building in Leeds to help drive growth of innovative digital companies.

To mark the launch, which took place on the first day of the annual Leeds Digital Festival, industry leaders and customers were invited to a day of workshops and events at Platform including product demonstrations from current customers Coptrz and Kwizzbit.

Supported by Leeds City Council’s Tech Hub Fund, the new incubator is designed to nurture startup and scale-up businesses from the region’s digital technology sector and help create hundreds of high value-added jobs over the next few years. Read More

MSP launch new Manchester Tech Incubator alongside Complete Resourcing

Entrepreneurs and digital innovators with a passion for launching their own business are being given the chance to join Manchester’s new Tech Incubator for data science and technology innovation start-ups. Manchester Science Partnerships (MSP), the UK’s leading science and technology park operator, has launched a competition to win free desk space and access to a specialist business growth programme for 12 months when the centre opens in May.

Worth up to £9,500, the competition is aimed at tech start-ups with between 1-12 employees, working in the areas of AI, cognitive computing, machine learning, data analytics, VR & AR, FinTech, Blockchain, eCommerce, cyber security, cloud technologies, quantum computing, IoT (Internet of Things), smart cities and digital health.
